If someone commits a minor offense such as kill aura, minor grief, or kill aura should be able illegible for an unban purchase. This could increase income of server and decrease amount of time and effort spent on reviewing ban appeals.

Castia will never allow players to pay for unbans, even for first "minor offences". Please bear in mind that minor grief and kill aura do not share the punishment length, for minor grief will normally involve a 1-3 day ban whilst kill aura (and any other sort of hack) will result in a perm ban, and certainly not considered a minor offence.

Even if it is their first ban, having the ability to purchase an unban essentially lets anyone back into the server, as long as they are willing to spend the money. There is no restrictions to this, and people can abuse this easy second chance to once again bypass the rules and cause more stress for staff. Submitting ban appeals are best way for staff to really determine if a player should be let back into the server. This method encourages people to actually follow the rules and limits the server to those who deserve to play, maintaining the great environment that makes Castia such an enjoyable place. Buying unbans goes against everything the server upholds, and even if it will bring in more money for the server, it certainly isn't worth the trouble it will bring.

I think this is a great idea. Let players pay to unban themselves! It certainly doesn’t affect the economy or anyone else. It’s only fair.

Also, I think players should be able to pay for OP.

I disagree if a player was banned it means they did something wrong and they should have to go through the appeal phase and if there appeal's don't get accepted then they are not the kind of player i would want playing this is coming from a player who was banned for 3 or 4 months i trust the staff team to make the right decision when voting on a ban appeal

Imagine the new market: Unban sellers!
"I'm paying someone 1M on Medieval to buy an unban for XXX, /msg me"

Seriously speaking, though, this is a terrible idea. No one is permbanned for no reason, and this just allows cheaters to get an undeserved second chance. I trust Castia's staff team - both when it comes to handling of /helpops and ban appeals.

CastiaMC has never made paid unbans possible, nor will this ever become a feature. CastiaMC has a functional appealing process, where if you are permanently banned and it was not a false ban, you can create a ban appeal to convince the staff team that you will no longer break the rules and you deserve a second chance.

Paying for unbans not only undermines Castia's rules and community, but it potentially doubles staff workload by forcing them to re-catch rule breakers, who will likely continue cheating but in less detectable ways.

I've only ever wanted OP - it's been my biggest dream on Castia. I fully support this idea

Castia isn't perfectly EULA compliant anyway, but I guess your reasoning stands.

    I don't know what's funnier
the amount of sarcasm in the replies, or
how many heads it went over

EDIT: P.S. purchasing unbans or even op is really, really a bad idea

Alt accounts are against the rules, In fact its the first rule on the list.

Since I believe the original suggestion has already been answered, I am going to lock this thread.
